1. THREE POWER FEEDS
Three 17 MW separate path utility feeds provide redundancy from Texas Instruments DOD grid. This is a priority Medical Grid which was not subject to any rolling power outages during the recent Texas Ice Storm. H5 COLO currently operates three service entrances, providing 17 MW of power capacity, from ONCOR. The facility has a power density of 250 Watts per square foot with redundant power utility feeds delivered underground. This eliminates outages due to wind, snow and ice.
2. ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL
Most Data Centers in the market today, approach Environmental Control through a combination of AirFlow, Temperature, Rack Hygiene and Aisle Air Containment. H5 COLO uses a total containment approach to Environmental Control by using sealed Cabinets with a vertical exhaust duct (aka chimney). This is the most efficient and green way to control heat containment.
3. CABINET DENSITY
H5 offers standard 5 kW upgradeable to 8.6 kW built in. By request H5 has Cabinets utilizing 17 kW. This is through diverse dual path 110v, 208v, and three phase 208v circuits from the diverse electrical service rooms to Cabinets.
4. CIRCUIT UPGRADES WITHOUT DOWNTIME
Existing circuits are built with 208 three phase 30 amp drops so Cabinets can be field upgraded from 110 volt 20 Amps to 78 Amps (62 Amp Usable) or 208 Volt 20 amps to 41 Amps (33 Amp Usable A). Conversions from 110 to 208 can be done by changing out Cabinet PDUs. All of this while keeping your equipment running. Due to this overbuilding of circuits customers can add additional equipment over their stated need without popping breakers. Unlike other data centers, any circuit overages are billed based on incremental usage.
5. CARRIER-NEUTRAL FACILITY
Although H5 COLO provides an optimized premium blended network to our customers, H5 is a carrier neutral facility. Our Meet Me Room provides access to 6 different providers. H5 COLO always makes it easy to complete cross connects to all carriers:
6. MULTI-LAYER SECURITY
H5 Colo implements multiple layers of security with 24/7/365 on-site personnel with controlled access to all areas both outside and inside the building and Floor the Data Center Resides on.
The Data Center access is controlled by two separate access control systems. Access to the building and the floor H5 is on is controlled by one system. A second access control system controls access on the Data Center floor.

H5 Colo has Dual layers of surveillance and recording throughout facility. Combination of Analog and l/P camera systems connect to separate recording devices at various locations.
7. SAFETY
H5 COLO features a Dry Pipe Double Interlock Pre-action Sprinkler System fire suppression with heat and smoke detection. Each H5 supplied server Cabinet is fitted with heat sensors that alarm the NOC if the temperature reaches above 98 degrees. The NOC will immediately investigate any alarm to mitigate any issue. CO2 Fire Extinguishers are stationed inside the Data Center in case of any fires. Additionally, there are Battery Leak containment and detection systems. Due to thick metal sealed Cabinets any potential fire in a Cabinet is isolated to a single Cabinet.

Our on-site Network Operations Center provides 24/7/365 Network Infrastructure, Environmental and Bandwidth Monitoring, Remote Hands, Rack and Stack and technical assistance. It’s the assurance you need with the personalized service you can count on.
9. DISASTER RECOVERY AND BUSINESS CONTINUITY WORKSPACE
These services are your company’s first line of defense in the wake of a catastrophic event. H5 offers on-demand Hot, Warm and Cold site configurations, PCs and/or VoIP handsets and 70 dedicated workstations that can be expanded to 300 backed by UPS and redundant generators.

Hot Site
A Hot Site is a commercial Disaster Recovery service that allows a business to continue computer and network operations in the event of a computer or equipment disaster. A Hot Site has all the equipment needed to continue operations, including office space and furniture, telephone jacks and computer equipment.
Cold Site
A Cold Site is a similar type of Disaster Recovery service that provides office space, but the customer provides and installs all the equipment needed to continue operations. A Cold Site is less expensive, but it takes longer to get an enterprise in full operation after the disaster. Data Center space, power and network connectivity are available when you need it.
